Bicycle Service Technician (Bike Mechanic)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

-Assembles, maintains and repairs action sports equipment meeting Gear West and/or/vendor standards 
-Assesses customer needs and confirming service and product meets those needs 
-Checking in and out shop and rental equipment
-Contributes to sales results by knowing Gear West products and services, accurately communicating product information and inventory response processes 
-Reports significant quality and safety issues to the Service Manager 
-Assists with maintaining equipment and ensuring a clean, secure and safe work environment 

Qualifications and Skills

-Bike maintenance and repair experience 
-Strong attention to detail 
-Ability to maintain open and positive relations with employees and customers 
-Interest in developing own skills and knowledge 
-Interest in working in a team environment committed to providing excellent sales and service experience while increasing sales through service 
-Availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends 
-Ability to periodically lift 60 pounds

Nordic Sales Associate


We are seeking a friendly self-starter with and passion for cross-country skis. This is a full-time position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent customer service
· Follow and achieve department’s sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
· Maintain in-stock and presentable condition assigned areas
· Remain/become knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
· Process POS (point of sale) purchases
· Handle returns of merchandise
· Build relationships with customers

Qualifications and Skills

· Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
· Basic Math skills
· Track record of over-achieving sales quota
· Solid communication and interpersonal skills
· Proven work experience as a Retail Sales associate, Sales representative or similar role
· Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
· Ability to work flexible shifts

Inventory & Receiving Associate

Key Job Responsibilities:

As a inventory and receiving associate you will contribute to the profitability of the retail operation by receiving, handling, pricing, and help to manage the inventory of merchandise and supplies in a timely and organized manner.

Receiving Responsibilities:

Check merchandise and supply deliveries for accuracy, verifying that quantities received match bills of lading, purchase orders, and other documents. After safely staging incoming shipments, you will maintain ongoing and proactive communication withy key partners about new arrivals, order overages, and shortages, and delivery delays.

Inventory Responsibilities:

Accurate tracking and documentation are key responsibilities of the inventory associate. By accounting for merchandise and supplies, you will enable compliance with designated inventory levels and help prevent run-outs. You will provide weekly accounting and documentation, but will likely also participate in formal periodic inventory audits.

Merchandise Handling:

You will pull items from storage, physically move them, and stock shelves. You will organize the stockroom and ensure that accurate labeling, pricing, logical placement, neat arrangement, and cleanliness are maintained.


Strong organization, multi-tasking, versatility, communication, and attention to detail skills will be required. High levels of both efficiency and engagementwill be required while performing repetitive tasks.

Physical Requirements:

Since this position requires the handling of merchandise, supplies, and materials, it will be physically demanding. Your physical functions will include:

-Ladder climbing
-Lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance
-Bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and performing repetitive motions
-Standing and walking for up to 8 hours in a row
-Moving large quantities of merchandise with carts, dollies, and other moving equipment.
