SNOW & WEATHER CONDITIONS

TEMP: Overnight low 3 F/ 8 F at 8:00AM         

SNOW TYPE: New Dry Snow

HUMIDITY: Low Humidity with dryer snow as a result of the strong wind.

 

Economy:

BASE: Polar or Performance Speed 5

  • A hard base wax for marathon distance
  • Iron in at 150C iron temp
  • Allow to cool 15 minutes
  • Clear groove with groove pen
  • Scrape base with scraper at angle
  • Brush ski in scrub motion with nylon brush

GLIDE: High Speed 5

  • Iron in at 160C iron temp
  • Allow to cool 15 minutes
  • Clear groove with groove pen
  • Scrape base with scraper at angle
  • Brush ski in scrub motion with nylon brush

Speed At All Costs:

BASE: High Speed 5 

  • A hard base wax for marathon distance
  • Iron in at 145C iron temp
  • Allow to cool 15 minutes
  • Clear groove with groove pen
  • Scrape base with scraper at angle
  • Brush ski with nylon brush

 

GLIDE: Marathon Solid or Powder

  • Marathon covers a large range of snow type and has been our go to wax in the new line.
  • Iron in at 160C iron temp
  • Allow to cool 15 minutes
  • Clear groove with groove pen
  • Scrape base with scraper at angle
  • Brush ski with fine steel brush

 

COVER: Top Speed 5 Powder

  • Iron in at 160C iron temp
  • Allow to cool 15 minutes
  • Clear groove with groove pen
  • Scrape base with scraper at angle
  • Brush ski with fine steel brush

Kick:

OPTION 1:

  • Sand kick zone with 150 grit sand paper
  • Iron in 1 layer of VG35 Binder
  • Apply 3-5 layers of VP 40 making each shorter working towards front of foot. Cover with VP30

OPTION 2:

  • Sand kick zone with 150 grit sand paper
  • Iron in 1 layer of VG35 Binder
  • Apply 3-5 layers of VP 40 making each shorter working towards front of foot
