Wax Recommendations - Noquemanon, Saturday, January 27, 2024

We have been busy testing the new fluor free waxes this early winter, if you are looking for a recommendation for this weekend’s races, see below. We have tested waxes from Swix, Rex, Vauhti, Rode, and Start, among others, below are some recommendations that will make your skis fast in these fluor-free times.

Weather-

Friday Night - Mostly cloudy with a low around 31.  Calm wind.

Saturday - Mostly cloudy with a high near 38.

Recommendations-

Swix Glide Wax Cleaner

Paraffin – Rode Endurance, Swix Marathon Powder

Liquid – Swix TS8, Rex NF21, Rode RL Warm*

Structure – Toko Structurite Red Roller – both rollers tip to tail

Kick – Base - Swix Klister Base spray covered with one very thin layer of Rode Special Violet Klister.  Cover with a thin layer of Swix Universal klister, Rode Multigrade klister, or Start Uni Wide.  Check back for an updated kick rec. – forecast and snow conditions are evolving in Marquette.
